Aspire Scholarship Program 2024-25: A Big Opportunity for B.Tech. Students

About SWAYAM Charitable Trust

SWAYAM Charitable Trust is a non-profit organization started by Dr. Ajai Chowdhry, a Padma Bhushan awardee and co-founder of HCL Technologies. The trust aims to support students and help them succeed in their studies and careers. The Aspire Scholarship is one of their main efforts to provide financial aid to underprivileged students.

Who Can Apply?

Students who meet the following criteria can apply for the Aspire Scholarship:

Must be enrolled in the first year of a B.Tech. course at any of these institutions:
- Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur (IIT-Kharagpur)
- Indian Institute of Technology Hyderabad (IIT-Hyderabad)
- Indian Institute of Technology Patna (IIT-Patna)
- Indian Institute of Technology Delhi (IIT-Delhi)
- Indian Institute of Technology Bombay (IIT-Bombay)
- Indian Institute of Technology Goa (IIT-Goa)
- Indian Institute of Information Technology, Design & Manufacturing (IIITDM) Jabalpur
- Indraprastha Institute of Information Technology Delhi (IIIT-Delhi)
- Dr. Shyama Prasad Mukherjee International Institute of Information Technology Naya Raipur (IIIT NR)
- Jabalpur Engineering College
- National Institute of Advanced Manufacturing Technology (NIAMT, Ranchi)
The family income of the student should not be more than INR 6 lakh per year.
The student should not be receiving any other scholarship.
Children of employees from Apollo Trading, BFL Investments, SWAYAM Charitable Trust, and Buddy4Study India Foundation cannot apply.

Benefits of the Scholarship

28 students will be selected for the scholarship.
The scholarship will cover tuition fees, hostel fees, food, and other academic expenses.
The scholarship will be given for 4 years, as long as the student meets the renewal criteria each year.

Required Documents

Applicants must submit the following documents to complete their scholarship application:

Government-issued identity proof (Aadhaar Card/Voter ID/Driving License/PAN Card)
Proof of current year admission (fee receipt/admission letter/institution identity card/bonafide certificate)
Bank account details of the applicant
Family income proof
Applicant’s photograph
Statement of Purpose (SOP) detailing immediate and long-term goals, reasons for choosing the institution, and interest in the chosen field (500 words)
Passing certificates and marksheets of Class 10th and 12th
Date of birth proof

How to Apply for the Aspire Scholarship?

Applying for the Aspire Scholarship is a simple process:

Click on the ‘Apply Now’ button on the scholarship page.
Login to Buddy4Study using your registered email ID or mobile number.
If not already registered, create a new account with your Email/Mobile number/Gmail account.
You will be redirected to the Aspire Scholarship Program 2024-25 application form.
Click on the ‘Start Application’ button to begin filling out the online application form.
Upload all required documents.
Accept the Terms and Conditions and review your application in the ‘Preview’ section.
Once everything is correct, click on ‘Submit’ to complete your application.

Selection Process

The selection for the Aspire Scholarship happens in several steps:

Submit the online application.
Your documents will be verified.
Telephonic interview of shortlisted candidates after document verification.
Shortlisting based on merit, financial need, and SOPs.
A final online interview through Zoom will be conducted by the panel of SWAYAM Charitable Trust.
The final decision will be taken by the SWAYAM Charitable Trust.
